Education Access

MIWA believes that education is the foundation of every other form of development. Our Education Access programme works to remove the financial, geographic, and social barriers that prevent children and young people — particularly girls — from completing primary and secondary school. Through community learning centres, scholarship support, and teacher capacity-building, we create lasting pathways to knowledge.

Questions

Common questions about Education Access

Who can apply for education support through MIWA?

Any student at risk of dropping out due to financial hardship may apply. Priority is given to girls in lower secondary school and students in our target communities. Contact us at info@microfinanceinitiativeforwestafrica.org to start the process.

Does MIWA run its own schools?

No. We work alongside existing public schools and community institutions — supporting students who are already enrolled and strengthening the teaching environments they learn in.

How can I donate to support education in a specific community?

You can designate your gift to the Education Access programme on our donation page. We will update you on how your contribution has been used.
